Issue with integrating channels in teamcity

Hi team,

This is Pavan and i work for Znalytics. We use Octopus for our deployments, where we have channels in place. We have a process which will create the builds and do the deployment(s) with a single click from teamcity but after implementing the channels in octopus, we are not able to configure the channels in teamcity.

I’ve gone through different blogs online which says "–channel=Value’’ should work but its not working for us. See the attachements for reference. Please help us.

Thanks for getting in touch! I couldn’t find any attachments. But could you let me know what version of Octopus and TeamCity plugin you are using, as the channels flag was only added recently and this might be the problem.

Thanks for your quick response, Octopus version we are using is Octopus 3.2.2 and Teamcity version is TeamCity Enterprisehttp://www.jetbrains.com/teamcity/?fromServer 9.1.3.

Hi Pavan,

Thanks for that. The channels flag was added to Octopus Deploy in version 3.2.14. Which means that you need at least version 3.2.0.50 of the TeamCity plugin or version 3.3.1 of Octo.exe (which is included in the TeamCity plugin) to use the channel flag.

Let me know if you are able to upgrade and if this fixes your issue.

Hi,

We’ve updated the octopus plugin in Teamcity to 3.2.0.50 but it still not working, see the below screenshot for plugin info.

But during the build its showing version 2.6.3.60 in the build log, please see below error.

Hi Pavan,

Please see my attached image. Can you please check what version of Octopus your create release settings are set to in TeamCity.
