IPv6 Support

Hello,

I am running version 2.6 and have a requirement that some of the tentacles can only communicate with the Octopus server over IPv6. I have the server deployed in a dual stack configuration and I can connect to the admin console from the remote server over IPv6 - so connectivity is ok. But it looks like the server has not bound port 10943 to the IPv6 interface, I can see the IPv4 address listening on this port. The result is I cannot register the tentacles for this location.

What is the status of IPv6 support for Octopus Deploy?

Hi Jon,

Thanks for getting in touch. I’m sorry you are having difficulties registering Tentacles over IPv6. I’ve created an issue to bind the Octopus Server communications port to IPv6 addresses: https://github.com/OctopusDeploy/Issues/issues/1890.

Note that this will be fixed in Octopus Deploy 3, not 2.6.
