How use the --updateVariables flag in UI

Hi,

Is there any way in new Octopus Deploy 2018 to have variables to be automatically updated when clicking a deploy button?

when I deploy a release from cmdline with octo.exe there is a flag --updateVariables. That one would be really valuable to be able to always use when deploying from UI

Hi Rasmus,

Thanks for getting in touch! Unfortunately there’s no way via the UI to automate updating the variable snapshot of a release, though you can do so manually. In the release page, under the Variable Snapshot section, you can select Update Variables as shown in the following screenshot.

Would that help for the time being? Your suggestion to automate this in some way may be a great idea to add on our UserVoice site! This is the main avenue we consult when considering new enhancements/features like this for future releases.
