I’m trying to host a .net core web api as a site on IIS with octopus. even thought site gets created, site is not automatically started. Am I missing any configuration step ?

Thanks for getting in touch!
There is an option within the process step to specify whether the site should be started or not, it would be worth checking that is enabled.
If that is ticked and the site still isn’t starting then check the verbose deployment logs to see if it is running into any issues when attempting the start.
