Hi Dalmiro,
I’ve run into an issue with 3.3.1 where the server is running hourly health checks and I’d like to stop the task. The task output doesn’t tell me how the task was started or who started it. I’m not sure if a built-in task is doing this or if it’s hidden somewhere in an Octopus config file. Any idea where I can look to help me stop this task?
I’ve replied to your email, but I’ll add the response here as well so other users cna see it
Automatic health checks cannot be stopped at the moment, but we are thinking on doing something about this in 3.4 when introducing multi-tenancy and elastic-environments. Still can't give you full details of this though.
Hi,
I’m still looking for a way to disable health checks. We’ve run into issues where the health checks get hung and never stop thus bogging down the server and stopping deployments and HA fail-over. I’ve sent an email to Octopus support today describing the issue and looking for solution.
We have 1300+ machines and 100’s of global projects, the Octopus server has to stay online and not get bogged down with hourly health checks.
Dalmiro,
Thanks for responding. I searched through the change logs while comparing 3.4 with 3.3.1 and didn’t see anything about it so I send the email and post. I’ll check it out.
