Generating Deployment Reports

Hi,

We are using Octopus 2.4.5.46 version. How can we generate a report on the past 6 month reports for few projects in this version. The below url is not giving me any results with the API key that I generated. I think it won’t works with the current octopus version that we have. Any other way?

Thank you for contacting Octopus Support.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of our documentation is applicable to v2018 and newer. However, I was able to dig up an old thread that may help here, assuming these API endpoints are valid in v2.4.5:

I am trying to pull the xml file from the reporting endpoint (…api/reporting/deployments/xml?apikey) and i cannot use the resulting xml because the encoding characters in the file are set to UTF-16 even though the content is UTF-8. $foo = invoke-webrequest -uri “path to xml file w/ apikey” -method Get $foo | output-file -path .\foo.xml Try to open the xml file in IE or Excel and get an error “invalid at the top level of the document” Attached is a screenshot where the background is a correct…

If this doesn’t work. I would recommend checking out our documentation and consider upgrading to a modern version of Octopus Server to unlock features that were not present in our v2 product:
