Execute PowerShell script on Octopus Deploy Server

I want to create a custom notification step using a Step Template. It should be like “Send an email” script, however with my custom code. My problem is that in order to Run a Powershell Script, I must specify machines. But really I am not interested in running it on my environment machines, but just on the Octopus Deploy server.

Is this possible?

This is a very common question asked, and there is a solution to this. Installing a Tentacle on the Octopus Server allows you to run steps on that server.
