Everything works fine but the event logs is full of errors

Hi,

I just logged to our servers and I can see that EventLog is full of errors. This happens in every environment. 4 weeks ago we upgraded from Octopus 1.6 to Octopus 2.1.3.1223. Only one Tentacle process (2.1.3.1223) is running on each server. Other then that everything seems to work just fine some maybe this should not be logged as an error.

Thoughts?

Hi Pawel,

Do you still have an Octopus 1.6 server running somewhere (and probing these Tentacles)? This would be one explanation… Another running instance of 2.x might also account for it.

Let me know if not, I agree we shouldn’t be flooding the log with this stuff, but in normal operation this error shouldn’t appear.

I forgot to uninstall 1.6 server but I have no 1.6 tentacles running so I’m not sure where is the error coming from ? I will uninstall 1.6 server and check in a week.

Once I uninstalled 1.6 everything got back to normal.
