Error with usernames containing space character (from active directory)

We want to use Windows credentials for authentication and are having a problem with active directory usernames containing a space character, e.g. “Thomas Lange”.
The user is created after login, but we are not able to edit display name and email address of theses users and getting this error message: "A username can only contain letters, digits, periods, underscores and exclamation marks."
Would it be possible to also allow space character in usernames?

Thanks for the suggestion, spaces will be enabled in the next release.
