Dynamic step template inputs

I have a step template with a dropdown box with a few values in it; What I would like to do is only show a subset of the additional inputs based on the value of the drop down.

I guess ultimately we could break this down into a step template per dropdown value, but I’m trying to make the easiest user experience for the consumers of the step template.

Any ideas?

Thanks for getting in touch!

Unfortunately I don’t have good news on this front as we don’t have any support (or plans for support) for nested drop down menus at this point in time. The workaround that you have around multiple step templates seems to be the best solution at this point in time.

Thanks for the reply.

I think I have mislead you with my original question.

The dropdown box would ideally be used to vary the inputs on the step.

dropdown
value 1
value 2
value 3

select value 1 it shows inputs
1
2
3

select value 2 shows inputs
2
3
4

…

So the step has varying input boxes based on the dropdown selection.

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you here.

I have to apologise as I used the incorrect terminology in my original answer, I was indeed referring to Cascading Dropdowns, not nested dropdowns. Either way it’s currently not technically possible and isn’t something that is on our roadmap.
