Docker pull: server gave HTTP response to HTTPS client

Hello support team,

we are running a OctopusDeploy server in the docker container from Docker Hub.

In the deployment process, we are pulling docker images from our custom (only internal) docker repository. The deployment process gets the error “http: server gave HTTP response to HTTPS client”.

According to windows - Docker repository server gave HTTP response to HTTPS client - Stack Overflow, I guess that the solution will be to add the “insecure-registries” entry to the file under “/etc/docker/daemon.json”. Is that correct?

Thanks for getting in touch! Yes, it looks like adding insecure-registries to daemon.json will resolve this for you.
