I log in, go to my profile, and change my name in the Display Name field. When I log out and log back in it’s changed back to the name from Active Directory. Broken in 3.13.3 but working in 3.4.7. Thanks.
Thanks for getting in touch. As of around 3.5.3 we switched to using AD as the source of truth for everything as we were running in to too many issues with AD administrators changing their configuration and then us not reflecting that.
We should enter the AD Display Name into that field, so your best option is to get your Display Name in AD updated if that is possible.
If that’s the case then it probably makes sense to gray out that field so users don’t get the impression that they can change it. I can save the name and it stays intact for the whole session, which gives the impression that it saved permanently.
