Display Display name instead of UserName

Is there a way to display the Display name of a user rather than the UserName on the history section on the deployment overview screen?

It would be extremely useful to see the actual users display name instead of the username. In large organizations it’s quite common for these to be just letters and numbers and not very informative. This means we need to manually go and lookup the display name in the Users section to figure it out.

Is this something that is being considered? It would make History so much more meaningful.

If you were to suggest your idea on UserVoice, it will get a lot more community exposure. Older threads on our forums are not actively monitored so they are not going to get any action or recognition and wont be used to gauge support.

Hi Dalmiro,

Can you explain a bit more on why this is not possible? The Users page displays the users full name and their user id. So it appears that OD already has this mapping available. What is the difficulty in surfacing the full name on the History page instead of the username?

I’m sorry for the big delay in getting back to you here. I ran this past some team members and elected to create a GitHub issue for this. I unfortunately can not give you a timeline on how long it will take for this to be implement, however, it will be looked into as a part of our UI redesign.
