Default value for multi-line control box in step templates

Hi!
I`m trying to add default value for variable in template.
My default value, for example is
"row1
row2
row3"
But i cant do this, because there one line for input “default value”

Thanks for reaching out. I’m afraid i’m gonna need more info to understand your scenario:

  • When you say “variable in a Template”, are you talking about a step template? A screenshot of where are you trying to set the value of this variable would be great.

  • You want row1, row2, row3 to be items inside of an array, or just 3 lines of text separated by a line?

Hi,

Right after I send you that message, I realized that all the answers were on the ticket subject and I had to facepalm. Sorry about that!

Unfortunatelly this is not possible for multi-line boxes. It is though a good suggestion. If you’d like to see this in future versions of Octopus, please drop by Uservoice and submit it.
