Configmap prints \n instead of a newline

Configmap is printing \n instead of new line.

Ex.:

apiVersion: v1
data:
test-config: "# forward input\n\n @type forward\n @label @test\n
\ port 4040\n\n\n# test-configmap\n\n

Any idea on how to correct this from Octopus configuration?
