Compact view on Dashboard

Hi,

We currently have 14 environments, with more coming in the near future. The current dashboard is becoming a bit unweildy as we have to scroll a long way to the right to see other environments.

Some kind of compact view would be nice, perhaps showing a truncated environment name, and a coloured (red/green) lozenge containing the version number. The date of release and full environment name could be shown in the tooltip bubble.

Using Ctrl-Minus to scale the web page in the browser is a workaround, but isn’t ideal.

Thanks,

Paul

maybe a dashboard = { a group of projects and environments }

example i would create a dashboard per company we manage and since we have duplicated infrastructure on their premise.

So my dashboards would be: companyx, companyy, companyz

Thanks guys, there are a couple of Trellos to help improve this experience:

Custom dashboards is closest to your suggestion Leblanc.

Paul, would any of the above be preferable to your suggestion, or do you think it’s worthwhile to be able to show a single dashboard with lots of environments/projects?

Hi,

Those cards are all great and we could certainly use any of them, but I think that our core problem of too many environments that all need to be monitored together wouldn’t really be solved by them. A more compact representation of the current dashboard, either structurally tweaked as I said in my first post, or just a smaller default font and less padding would help.

Thanks Paul, I’ve added it to the (continuously growing :-)) backlog:

Hi Paul,

I’ve moved this to a new Uservoice site for Octopus, where you can vote on it:
