Clustered DB Servers

Hi,

I’m just continuing from an older [post] (http://help.octopusdeploy.com/discussions/questions/3619-octopus-deploy-saying-tentacle-needs-upgraded-even-after-they-were-upgraded) late 2014.

Basically we have a clustered DB server setup, we have two nodes in active passive mode. I’ve tried following what you mentioned in the post but I can’t for the life of me get the thumbprints to match. I’ve used [this] (http://docs.octopusdeploy.com/display/OD/Export+and+import+Tentacle+certificates+without+a+profile) but I keep on getting a different thumbprint on the second node.

Can the above be achieved and if so how? I only want one target in Octopus Deploy which points to the cluster IP, then that goes to which ever node is active at the time, but I don’t think I can achieve that with what I have currently setup.

The following is what I’ve got:

  1. Node 1 (Active) - Tentacle installed, certificate exported
  2. Node 2 (Passive) - Tentacle installed via cmd line, certificated imported, it doesn’t have the same thumbprint

Thank you

Please ignore the question, I missed a step, I should have run the certificate I exported on Node 1 as well. After doing so, I get the same thumbprint on both nodes, now it’s time to test it and see if it works.

Thank you for the documentation on your site, it’s great.
