Clone Production data to Staging instance

Hi all,

We have Production instance, and it is being backed up to SQL server .

Newly we created staging instance for that we need production data to be copied in staging instance.

Any ideas on how could we do this without corrupting production data.

Please let me know process how it needs to be done.

Our guide on cloning an instance may be useful for you.
Essentially, you would be restoring a backup of your production database to a test location and creating a new instance pointed at that database.
One thing you may want to keep in mind is that any triggers, deployment targets and such may still be active when you activate the new instance. The guide does cover ways to prevent this.
