Cant upgrade tentacles

Hi,

we are running about 17tentacles and 6 of them can’t be updated from version 3.16.3 to newest one.

  • Octopus server: v2019.3.4
  • Tentacle is running as a service and have Administrator rights.
  • Tentacle has administrator rights at “Upgrade” folder.

There is a LOG file from one of them:
Octopus upgrader version 2019.3.4.0
Current directory: C:\Octopus\Upgrade\20190708184937-5H7DR
Arguments:
[0] = “OctopusDeploy Tentacle”

Hi BB Thomas,

Thanks for getting in touch! That certainly does sound strange. To rule out any potential permissions issue, could you run through a test to see if this helps get you up and going?

  1. Create a new username/password account and set that as Local System
  2. In your machine policy, set this account to be used when updating Tentacles
