Can version 3.3 use 3.0 tentacles?

Currently running 3.2.4. We do a quarterly upgrade and want to go to 3.3, but have an old web farm that has to run .net 4.0. The old farm is running 3.0.23. Can we upgrade to 3.3 while leaving this farm at 3.0.23?

Hi Andy,

Thanks for getting in touch! Yes, you can have Octopus Server 3.3 and your .NET 4.0 Tentacles still on 3.0.23.
Once you have upgraded your OD server, on the Tentacles page, you can lock your .NET 4.0 Tentacles to their 3.0 version so they won’t ask to upgrade and will also appear healthy.
The ‘workings’ that do the deployment on the Tentacle are actually part of Calamari which will continue to upgrade and work for .NET 4.0.
