Bulk export nugets from old to new Octopus server

Hi all,

in the last year we built a new Octopus server and installed version 2018.10.6

our old server is 2.6.0.778

We want to decom the old server but in some cases we have to extract the old nugets and import them onto the new server for deployments to work. Most have already been manually copied in, but i was wondering if there was a bulk export / import process we could use.

Thanks for getting in touch!

It sounds like you’re just wanting to transfer the packages from your old server to the new one?

If so, you can copy the contents of the packages folder (default c:\octopus\packages) directly from one server to the other and then navigate to Library > Packages and select the re-index option.

This may take awhile to run if there are a significant number of packages so you may want to trigger it towards the end of your day.
