Build and deployment from VSTS to local App servers

Hi Team,

Is it possible t build the code with Octopus?

And we are using VSTS for our projects, and app servers in our local machine.
so we are looking for build and deploy the code to our local servers from our cloud TFS. So, Please tell me what is the process,and how is it possible?

Thanks for reaching out! Octopus is a Deploy automation solution, and not a Build server like TFS. So I’m wondering exactly which part of the process you want to do wich Octopus? Is it the deployment of your app in your app servers, or the build and compilation process? A great way for me to understand what you are after would be for you to tell me how you are currently doing this process manually.

Also please let me know which version of TFS you are using if possible.

Hi,

We are using Visual Studio Team Services for source code and work item tracking , and Our application servers are in our local network(On Physical Machines). So, we need to compile and build artifacts form VSTS and deploy in to our local app servers.
Is it possible with Octopus?
