Automating Octopus Deploy Tentacle installation

Hi,

I am using the powershell script from http://docs.octopusdeploy.com/display/OD/Azure+Virtual+Machines to install tentacles on a range of Azure VMs. I have allowed RemoteSigned scripts to run, but the installation fails saying the OS isn’t supported (see attached error log).

The Azure VM is built using Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter, which I believe is supported? I read this support item, is this related? http://help.octopusdeploy.com/discussions/problems/35512-installing-the-tentacle-on-azure-virtual-machines

Thanks for getting in touch. Yes, that support item is absolutely related, and at the moment (Michael’s last reply) is still the best recommendation we have to deal with this issue.
