Automatic Relase Creation : Match version template with the version number of my package

Hello,

It’s a question about the feature “Automatic Release Deployment”, i’d like to know if I can match the version template with the version number of the package i’d like to deploy.

I think it would be easier for the devs team to find the relation between the release and their package.
For example, the devs team released a package number 1.1.3.2 and the “Octopus” release is “0.0.1” (based on :

Maybe, there is a solution for my need.
Thx in advance for your answers !

From what i understood, you want the release version to be the same as the package version. If this is what you are looking for, you can configure that from your project settings be enabling the Use the version number from an included NuGet package option. See attached screenshot for reference.

If this is not what you were looking for, please let me know!

Thanks,

Dalmiro
