I’m using Octopus for the first time and have got a question.
I’ve created a project in TFS and have setup Octopack to package up the project into a nuget package. The file is copied to the nuget server as expected. I’ve created a process to deploy the nuget package, and it works when I run it manually, by clicking on the Create release button, but it doesn’t trigger automatically when I do my build from TFS.
Should the process be triggered automatically? Am I missing a step here?
Thanks for getting in touch! Currently you cannot trigger the process automatically.
But with Life Cycles this will be possible.
Currently we are hoping to have it in pre-release testing within 2 weeks.
Hope that helps!
This looks really promising, do you know if this is likely to be a new product with it’s own licensing? or is it going to be an add on to the existing OctopusDeploy product with no extra cost to users on maintenance and update plans?
Thanks for the reply. It will be a feature inside Octopus for version 2.6. Available to download for those with valid maintenance plans.
