Assigning a tentacle to a cloud region

We have a number of different Azure regions containing both Azure web apps and VMs running tentacles. Using Cloud Regions in Octopus I’m able to group the web apps into regions and have different variables for each region, is it possible to group a VM (tentacle) into a Cloud Region or do I have to have a different environment for each region to be able to have different variables

Hi Mike,

Thanks for reaching out. Cloud Regions are basically virtual tentacles which allow you to scope things (steps, variables, etc) to them. If you need to have a combination of Cloud Regions and actual Tentacles running on VMs, you’re going to have to create an Environment that contains both of them.
