Artifacts applications directory retention policy not working

When installing a new deployment on a production environment using an artifact deployment target. The deployment files from previous installs are not deleted under the configured Applications Directory. All deployment version folders are kept.

Lifecycle retention policy is configured as:
Retention policy (inherited)
Releases: Keep 3 days. Files on Tentacle: Keep 3 days.

DeploymentJournal.xml (408.4 KB)

Hi Elise,

Thanks for getting in touch! Retention policies on offline targets aren’t applied like they are for other targets. The previous install files would need to be deleted manually, unfortunately.

Implementing this would be possible, but I don’t think it would be very simple to do so. I’d be really interested in seeing how many in the community would like to see this, so I’d recommend raising this suggestion on our UserVoice site in order to gauge this and potentially prioritize it accordingly in the future.

I’m sorry it’s not better news for the time being! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions moving forward.

Best regards,

Kenny
