Account cannot be setup as variable in project

Hello,
We have a question related with Octopus accounts.

Our team want to use Octopus token account, but accounts like SSH Key, Username and password, Token cannot be use as a variable in project.

Why this use case isn’t possible ?

We want to store infrastructure credentials in one place and accounts seems to be the best option here.

Thanks for getting in touch!

Originally, these Accounts were intended to be purely for use establishing connections with deployment targets. Over time, some of the account types (Azure, AWS, Google) started to be used within some of our deployment steps, so, they were added to the variable type list to support this.

For other types such as Tokens and SSH keys, the best option would be to store these within a Library Variable set which you can then link and reference within any relevant projects.
