Ability to edit variable set as project contributor

I am trying to migrate some of our duplicated variables to variable sets introduced in Octopus Deploy 2.0.

However it sems that it requires “System administrator” role to edit variable sets.

I would have expected that the “Project contributor” could edit and view variable sets.

I see it might complicate things that a “Project contributor” might be restricted to some projects and still be able to edit global variable sets.

One idea would to extend the “Settings” interface on library sets with a new checkmark “Allow contributors to edit”, or something similar.

My question: Is there a work-around for my case, or do I need to give everyone administrator permissions?
