When we try to save a selected certificate variable in the ‘Project Variables’ view, the variable is saved as a sensitive variable. When we then try to use certificate variable in a process step, the certificate variable is not found by the “Certificate variable” field.
To recreate:
In the project variable view
Save a variable with a value as a sensitive type
Change the variable type to certificate and choose a certificate
Save changes
The variable should be set to sensitive instead of a certificate
Workaround:
Delete the variable and set the correct type
